Meetings with Polish Culture Series: John Paul II
Polish Home Association presents a screening of Witness to Hope: The Life of John Paul II
The documentary traces the personal life and struggles of the first non-Italian pope in over 450 years. Based on George Weigel’s book of the same title, Witness to Hope is a complete and intimate portrait of an extraordinary leader. With a special introduction by Father Łukasz Miśko from the Catholic Newman Center at the University of Washington.Addmission is free.

Meetings with Polish Culture Series: Fryderyk Chopin
Polish Home Association presents a documentary film The Art of Chopin (52 min) by Gerard Caillat with introduction by Dr. Steven Lagerberg, a founder and a long time president of the Chopin Foundation NW. The movie made as a tribute to Chopin's 200th birthday includes performances by several great pianists, including Arthur Rubinstein, Piotr Anderszewski, Svatoslav Richter and Garrick Ohlsson.

Meetings with Polish Culture Series: Mazowsze
The Polish Cultural Center invites everybody to a lecture on Polish folk dances and costumes by Beata Gallaher. The presentation will be illustrated with fragments of a movie about the famous Polish folk group Mazowsze. The group, created after WWII as a showcase of the Polish folk culture, is still running strong.

Book Sale at the Polish Cultural Center
Please save the date! March 30, 2014
An interesting collection of donated books in both Polish and English will be for sale similar to the "Friends of the Library" book sale. Please bring your donation to the Polish Cultural Center any Friday during March and leave it at the Library on the upper level, and come on Sunday to buy some books you would like to read.
We hope you can join us for this event. The Polish Home restaurant is open from 1 to 4 as is usual on Sundays.
